DNSBL* - is a list of IP addresses published through the Internet Domain Name Service (DNS) either as a zone file that can be used by DNS server software, or as a live DNS zone that can be queried in real-time. DNSBLs are most often used to publish the addresses of computers or networks linked to spamming; most mail server software can be configured to reject or flag messages which have been sent from a site listed on one or more such lists.
WHOIS** - is a query/response protocol that is widely used for querying databases in order to determine the registrant or assignee of Internet resources, such as a domain name, an IP address block, or an autonomous system number. WHOIS lookups were traditionally performed with a command line interface application, and network administrators predominantly still use this method, but many simplified web-based tools exist. WHOIS services are typically communicated using the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP). Servers listen to requests on the well-known port number 43.
** Approximate Geographic Location - This is NOT the exact geographical location of the person/organization with the given IP address. However, this should still give you a good idea about the area/region where this person/orgranization is located.

192.168.1.64 is the ip address of team viewer (remote access software company in London) As far as i am aware it is safe to use as i have used for a number of years to help fix computer probs for my family. It is commercially used as well so i would imagine there would be a number of hits to locations that may or may not not have team viewer installed either by accident or on purpose. it does make me think though people may use it for trying to gain access to computers that are not secured.

IP 192.168.1.64 is using our internet connection, we are having connection problems and have experienced a spike in our internet use in recent months - £30-50 per month! We've only just found this IP address. We have found our settings changed, and virus protection etc turned off. Not happy. Our ISP better sort this out.

Do you have IP Security Cameras? Addresses starting with 192.168 are usually assigned to camera IP's both to wired and wireless. Their head end (dvr) or your computer if it has the viewing software on it after setup would begin with this address for local support of cameras but you would have had to change the address yourself. cert

People, people, people. the IP http://192.168.1.64/ is an address that connects YOUR PC to YOUR router. It is not an external IP address that is doing anything to your computer or network. If you want to know what your external IP address is go to IPchicken.com But for the love of all things digital, at least do some research before talking mince.
