So ive been poking around the logs all afternoon and wow something fishy showed up from that IP. It tried to bounce into our mail server 3 times in 10 minutes and failed each time. I mean why even bother if you aint got the creds right lol. The user agent string looked like some old bot trying to impersonate Chrome on Windows XP. Kinda hilarious that it forgot to change the version number too. I wonder if its just a script kiddie hitting F5 on his keyboard or something more sinister lurking. Either way i flagged that range for deeper scanning next week. Maybe its no big deal but better safe than sorry right. Keep an eye on it folks we might have digital ghosts in the machine.
